This week

Hello all,

I feel like I never properly address the kind people who view my posts. I hope you have all had a successful week and enjoy the time off this coming weekend.

So, in this week...

I've found someone with which to do my first beauty box swap with. I came across her on the elf (eyes lips face) facebook page when we both entered our blogs in the hopes of winning some goodies. So hopefully I will have some bounty with which to experiment and review on.

Secondly, she mentioned birchbox. A subscription service which for a minimum of £10* could see me getting a beauty box each month. :) Sweet! As it is a Monthly Recurring Subscription I can choose to opt out if I wish.

Ever seen the adverts for feelunique.com? Well I've been purchasing Kerastase Nutrients Densi-Recharge for around £19.00 a box (exc VAT) which I plan to write a review on soon. Plus I got my sister a Nicky Minaj perfume for Christmas (thanks to Christmas deals meant I got a free Nicky Minaj tote bag as well as some samples).

Rambled a bit there but I received an email newsletter stating that Tanya Burr would be launching a new cosmetic's range. I just got another email newsletter yesterday announcing its arrival. My response, a bit disappointed. I will keep an eye out to see if she adds any more items in the future as I love watching Tanya on her own Youtube channel as well as the Daily Mix channel where she often does Celebrity Make Over Looks.

Tanya's new cosmetic range is a bit full for me. :/

Lastly I met up with a great friend who brought me a present from her recent adventures. So sweet and precious I cannot wait to find a special place for it.

What I'm looking forward to besides the weekend...

Hearing Shakira's new collaboration with Rihanna. I love her work and she never ceases to disappoint.
Getting my room organised! I always plan to but never seem to get round to it.
Catching up on my favourite TV shows which I have no time to watch during the week because I work.
Putting my first beauty box ready for my first ever swap.

Shakira's collaboration with Rihanna will be a sensacion!

Birchbox 2014 January box. I think I might take the plunge and get it. :)

I do promise to bring more structure to my blog and get some reviews under way. So stay tuned peeps! ^^

I'm in LOVE...

...it's true. Check it out. Mob Wives Drita D'Avanzo has her own cosmetics and jewellery aptly named Lady Boss.

Seriously guys I WANT THIS!
Weekend Recap!

So, since I have been ill with this mysterious flu-type illness since Christmas last year I haven't really got up to anything much.

I did however manage to drag my lazy derriere out to meet up with my two age old friends! Even eyeing up some hotties on the train ride over. So we ended up at Las Iguanas at the O2. The starters were amazing and quite filling (so beware if you go there, less you want to send a plate back with food still on it!).

The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Although we were straight to business ordering our starters and getting a good girl's chat in which was long overdue.

Above you will see the mains and below the starters. The starters consisted of spicy barbeque wings, almondegas (lamb meatballs) and nachos! Yeah mehn! Eating those nachos reminded me of when I was little and used to watch Kim Possible (mostly how Ron was always at Taco Bell filling his face alongside Rufus).

The mains, mind you not so good in my opinion, were a chicken type roll with black beans and rice. Whilst my girls has a chicken, pepper and onion combo. As you can probably tell by the fact that I can't even remember the name of the last dishes.

To top it all off we got to sit inside the new Quashqai (Dream car) with sliding roof! Can you imagine being parked on a beach or the countryside star gazing...hmmm.

And found the most inspiring music tribute ever!

This wall was filled with Vinyl's, VCR's, tapes, CD's, old speakers and a few gigantic ipad's. You could actually plug your headphones in and listen to a short clip from a series of songs. What I most enjoyed was reading the titles! JLS, Kaiser Chiefs and more!

Sunday was a failure! Woke up late, did naught! However let me introduce you to my little friend...
I present Tender Care - Coconut Edition. This little gem is really a little gem! Beautifully fragranced, smooth texture so unlike the greasy Vaseline which can be used anywhere on the body and face and lasts ages. I also bought a shower gel which smells gorgeous! And I cannot wait to use it.

So to cap it all off I tried to make popcorn and semi-failed. No words needed...
Have a nice week guys and girls...

Weekend Summary

I'm really happy with my behaviour this weekend. Managed to accomplish 95% percent of what I had originally planned to do.

So I bought new work shoes from h&m, office stationary from MUJI, lovely damask style earrings from Primark and another bit or two.
I hope at some point to write a review on some of the items I have purchased. As well as some I plan to purchase once payday rolls round.

All in all, a great weekend!

Name Change

Lordy I've posted way to much today. To round it off I just need to inform you all that I changed the blog name because guess what...it already existed! Surprise...surprise. I'm a geek! I love the colour blue! And I often wear blue! Simple!

Holy Mother of ....

And here I thought we would have to suffer another dose of the dreaded Blair Witch Syndrome. Devils Due, set to premier this Thursday, has been prepping the audience by giving them a little taste of what is to come.

Someone call Super Nanny. I don't think her naughty corner tactic will work. She better catch up on her bible studies more like!

e.l.f's debate

Okay peeps,

So it's lunch time and I'm checking facebook, as we do, and I come across a recent post on the e.l.f facebook page.

The question raised today about the debate going on at e.l.f is as follows 60's eyeliner or 80's eyeshadow?

Without a shadow of a doubt (get the pun?) my reply would be the 60's eyeliner. Thanks to Elizabeth Taylor and the role she reprised as Cleopatra in the movie Cleopatra (1963).

Even though I am in love with Illamasqua's Molten Metal range the classic eyeliner is a staple in my daily makeup routine. Be it tight-lining, gel eyeliner or even just a touch of brown/black eye shadow to the lashline. So...

...my answer is the 60's eyeliner!

2014

At the mention of a new year many things may come to mind. New beginnings, new years resolutions, new diet, new look and so forth and so forth. What I believe we actually fail to do is finish our old years resolutions, diets, looks and so forth and so forth.

And therefore I pledge to continue working on my ideas and dreams. I pledge to publish a post a least once a week if not more.

Is that okay with you?

The Not-So Awkward Introduction...

Introducing myself, properly, without making my very first post never ending...is a task with a capital 'T'. So much to say yet so little time with which to say it. Frustrating, just a bit. Impossible, no.

It all began on the 17th November 1992. Jennifer Freitas De Castro was born and so now 20 odd years later she is sitting at her mum's PC hoping to be part of a new era of revolutionaries. (Don't we all wish we could be the reason something great happened.)

I live with my parents in a council flat in a not-so nice part of London. Tis a fact. But where I have been and what I have done does not and will not define the person I am right here, right now.

I've never kept a diary as I have never been able to or really known how to freely express myself. How do I know now is the right time? Well we've survived a supposed Apocalypse so if now isn't a good time I don't know what is. In essence this will be an official record of my personal evolution. Every thought, opinion, fear and hope for the year to follow.

And as J-Lo once said, "There are facts in our lives we can never change." but our future is ever-changing with every action we take.
